I always thought the harvest season was fall, but we’re harvesting more than we ever have at our teeny little plot. Right now we have three raised beds joined together (about 18 square feet total). Our harvest so far has been:

Arugula for 4 big salads (it would still be growing if the tomatoes hadn’t taken it over! Lesson for next year…)
4 lbs Big Boy Tomatoes (approx)
6 big yellow squashes
2 pts blackberries
4-5 cups of basil leaves
Unlimited oregano (that thing LOVES our front porch!)
LOTS of chicken poo!

Not bad for our small efforts this year. A pepper is on the vine and more tomatoes are on the way. Easy sustainable living, but what hooks me every time is the YUM factor.
